Dr. Kathleen Allison graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. After completing her DVM, she moved to California and practiced on horses for 5 years before settling in Western North Carolina.

Dr. Allison currently owns 4 horses and 5 dogs, and has 4 human children, including 3 sons and a daughter who is currently in the veterinary doctorate program at NC State University.  Kathleen loves living in the mountains and hiking and riding her horses!! Her veterinary interests include quality of life at all stages and offering a range of treatment options that include conventional and holistic approaches.  She has been certified in Chinese acupuncture for over 15 years and continues her strong interest in the use of eastern/western herbs and nutrition to treat medical conditions.

A native of New Orleans, LA, Dr. Reinecke received her veterinary education at The NC State College of Veterinary Medicine, following an undergraduate degree from UNC – Chapel Hill.  After graduating, Dr. Reinecke moved to Asheville and has spent the past 20 years practicing small animal medicine in Asheville and Weaverville.

Dr. Reinecke believes in a proactive, preventative approach to general health and in quality of life as a guiding principle.  She has a special interest in infectious disease, complex medical cases, geriatric care and ophthalmology. She places on emphasis on communication to help owners make informed decisions about their pets’ wellness and medical needs.

Dr. Reinecke is a longtime resident of North Asheville, where she lives with two teenagers, her husband and her 5 pets– Buster (a Chihuahua x Pug, who is just smart enough), and August (a German Shepherd, who is trying to be a good boy), and three tolerant cats – Abbie, Blackberry and Big Fat.  When away from work, she enjoys gardening, hiking, the beach, live music and the Asheville beer scene.

I have been a Registered Vet Tech for over 30 years. I earned my degree from Tri-County Tech in SC.

I have a thirst for learning and I want to help my patients in all aspects of life.
When I’m not at work, I also enjoy wildlife rehabilitation and horseback riding. My crew at home includes dogs, cats, chickens, horses and a donkey.

I started my Vet Tech career later in life, after graduating from the first Vet Tech class at AB Tech. I really love my job and feel like I actually make a difference in the lives of my patients. I enjoy client communication and education.
I share my home with my husband, 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 pot-bellied pigs, 2 prairie dogs and a cockatiel.

I like to spend my spare time with my husband and two grown children. We enjoy cruises and attending car shows in our antique cars.

I have over 15 years of experience working in small animal hospitals. I love all animals and people and I completely adore my own 2 dogs and 2 cats.

When I’m not at work, I like to enjoy outdoor activities and all of the beauty of the WNC area.
